The USFA reports 59 civilian home fire fatalities reported by U.S. news media between February 4, 2018 and February 10, 2018.

1) Smoke Detectors save lives! Each level of the home should have at least 1 working smoke detector, within 10 years of date of manufacture and should have a new battery each year.

2) Every household should have an EDITH plan! EDITH stands for Exit Drills In The Home.

3) If you see or smell smoke/fire, get out and stay out!
