RCFD Promotes two

By Firefighter Jeff Serenati
July 20, 2019

Over the last month Ridge Culver has promoted two of its career staff members to the position of Captain and Lieutenant.

The first promotion was Lieutenant Kevin Quinlan to Captain:

Captain Quinlan has served the Ridge Culver Fire District for 15 years, the last 9 of which have been as a Lieutenant. Capt. Quinlan is an extremely compassionate individual, who cares deeply about the members of our organization and the citizens he serves. He has been awarded 5 times over his career for bravery and distinguished service.

The second promotion was Firefighter Jayson Boehl to Lieutenant:

Lieutenant Boehl has served this organization as an explorer(87-91), a volunteer firefighter(91-98) and for the last 21 years as a Career Firefighter (98-Current). Although these are some of his formal titles, he has served in countless other roles supporting this organization. There isn't a single person in 2019 who represents the foundation of our department more than Lieutenant Boehl.
He has been a mentor and a friend to hundreds of firefighters who have passed thorough our doors. Many have gone on to successful careers within Ridge Culver, The Rochester Fire Dept, The Ridge Road Fire District, The North Greece Fire District, Irondequoit Police and many, many more.

Lieutenant Boehl is the most senior Firefighter/Officer on our job (Badge 101). The leadership he has demonstrated throughout his career has, and will continue to make our organization stronger. There are simply not enough words to describe what Lieutenant Boehl is to RCFD.

Captain Quinlan is assigned to a rotating daytime schedule opposite of Captain Thomas and Lieutenant Boehl is assigned to group 1.

Congratulations to both!
