Ridge-Culver and Laurelton hold combined swearing in ceremony

For their first time ever, two Irondequoit Fire Departments came together to hold a combined swearing in ceremony, swearing in a total of 11 new career firefighters and officers. This idea came to light only a month prior through casual conversation between members of the two departments. Both had a number to either promote or swear in as new firefighters or officers. This was truly a historical moment for the Irondequoit fire community and it's residents. The Laurelton Fire district promoted four firefighters to lieutenant and welcomed four new firefighters, doubling their staff! Ridge-Culver promoted one lieutenant to captain, one firefighter to lieutenant and welcomed one new firefighter. Congratulations to all, and thank you to all who came out in support of this momentous occasion.
