Just before 8 o’clock this morning Ridge-Culver responded for the report of an apartment on fire on Strathmore circle. 1C-18 arrived to find smoke showing from the ground floor apartment and declared a working fire. E-182’s crew made quick work of the fire which was knocked down and placed under control in less than 10 minutes from the time of dispatch. 1 dog was rescued from the apartment which suffered a little smoke inhalation. There were no civilian or firefighter injuries and the cause of the fire is under investigation by the Monroe County Fire Bureau.
