Last month Ridge Culver was excited to host the class: "Live Fire Instructor: Fixed Facility".

This three day class, which was presented by the International Society of Fire Service Instructors, was a mixture of online, in class and practical learning and evaluations. This course explores NFPA 1403 (standard for live fire training) and applies the principals of that standard to each student to safely deliver live fire training.

Students had the opportunity to participate in different key roles for running a smooth and safe live fire training environment.

Firefighters who attended this class were all from Monroe County except one, a Chief officer who came all the way from Hartford Connecticut!
