Ridge Culver mourns the loss of 63 year member William "Bill" Johnson

In the early morning hours of May 11th 2019, one of Ridge Culver's own had passed. William "Bill" Johnson was 92 years old and Ridge Culver's oldest living member, having joined the department in November 1956. Bill served the community for 63 years through Ridge Culver. Bill held the spot of Fire Commissioner for over 30 years on top of being an active firefighter which he completed in July of 2002, transitioning to a social member. Bill would still attend monthly department meetings as recent as this past winter. Bill loved attending meetings and socializing with members new and old following the meetings. Bill was a kind, loving husband (70 years!), father, grandfather, great grandfather and all around great person. Rest Easy Bill, you will be missed.
