If you see us over at the former Irondequoit DPW/Library it's because we are training.

Last week we were handed keys to the vacant building to utilize for training for about a month before it is demolished to make way for the future Byrne Dairy. Training is something we do every shift to keep our members sharp on their firefighting skills to keep us ready to serve you.

2021 Live Fire training wraps up

Career Firefighter Jeff Serenati, November 12

Each year our members are required to participate in "Live Fire Training" as a part to maintain their active status. This training simulates a structure fire with multiple companies responding and working together through different scenarios. Ridge Culver along with other Irondequoit Fire Departments usually conduct this training in the fall, and for 2021 it is now complete.
